[Video] IGN interview with Josh Olin

IGN Interview with Josh Olin

In this interview Josh Olin, a.k.a. JD_2020, tells you pretty much all there is to know about Black Ops to date. We also have two new screenshots for you!

In this interview Josh talks with IGN.com about the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops for about 5 minutes. Not feeling like watching a 5 minute interview? Scroll down and we'll give you the low-down...

This is the video interview IGN.com had with Treyarch community Manager Josh Olin (JD_2020)

Josh starts off with talking about how complex the storytelling in the singleplayer campaign is, with twists and turns and different plots. Then he turns to multiplayer; telling us how multiplayer has it's own dedicated teams that have been working hard on creating good maps for multiplayer since day one. Some singleplayer maps have actually been build off from these multiplayer maps, not the other way around (which is pretty unique).

Josh also states (again) that it's not a Vietnam game (which was the rumor online for a while). In fact it is actually a Cold War game with some Vietnam in it, but it's not about Vietnam. The campaign will take you around the globe in a number of different deniable operations, "black ops".

Treyarch has had help from Major John Plaster, who was an actual member of the black ops team "SOG" (Studies and Observations Group) in the Cold War. He has been a tremendous help in making the game authentic.

The campaign has a big variety of gameplay in many different combat scenarios; not just stealth or run and gun gameplay, but also vehicles and even helicopter gameplay will keep you hooked until the end. And for the first time in the Call of Duty franchise, your character has been given a voice and a face that you will recognize. The two main characters throughout the singleplayer campaign will be Mason and Hudson.

PS, still playing Call of Duty: World at War on your iPhone or iPad? Activision has let us know ZOMBIES II is now available.
