Unlocked at Level 38, the AK-47 is the third-to-last assault rifle, being followed up by the CAR-15 Commando and the classified G11. The AK-47 boasts a high rate of fire, and good damage. It is a good all-round rifle, appearing in both the Campaign and Multiplayer components of Black Ops. It is capable of being used with a large number of different attachments, though the standard iron sight is generally acceptable. The AK-47 uses the GP20 grenade launcher, though it is not overwhelmingly common in multiplayer due to its relatively high unlock level. Some players choose to replace the AK-47 with the CAR-15 Commando, or the G11, when they reach Rank 44, due to the lower recoil and improved accuracy.
