This Belgian-designed rifle is one of the most widely used rifles in history, having been used by over 90 countries since it was produced during the Cold War. The FAL was predominantly chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO round, and because of its prevalence and widespread use among the armed forces of many NATO countries during the Cold War it was nicknamed "the right arm of the Free World" (Cold War-era term for the US, Canada and Western European states). In-game, the FAL is a semi-automatic rifle, appearing in both single player and multiplayer. In Multiplayer, the FAL is a high damage rifle, not unlike the M14, though it is unlocked later in the progression system, at Rank 32.
